"Tryst" 10/07/06 Attitude - 4 Eye Candy - 4 Price - 4

"An Absolute Must!"

Tryst is by far the most gorgeous club I have ever seen. I can not even describe the open air feeling of this club. It's just something that you have to experience live.

Of all the "straight" clubs, Tryst has the most liberal environment. I saw (and participated hehehe) in kissing, caressing, and very dirty dancing with some very lovely ladies and was never told by security to tone it down.

"PURE" 10/07/06 Attitude - 2 Eye Candy - 3 Price - 4

"Very disappointing"

There is not enough room to walk between the bar and dance floor. The people were unfriendly and disinterested in talking with other people. There were no good bartenders, and believe me I looked. There was no room for me to dance and cut loose. And worst of all, there was a high ratio of men to woman.

What bothered me the most was how strict they were. I was sitting on the arm of a chair on the outside patio and a bouncer came over and said "no lap dances!". Later I leaned over to give another lady's breast a discrete quick kiss, and the bouncer was again threatening to throw me out.

"Jet" 10/07/06 Attitude - 3 Eye Candy - 4 Price - 3

"Probably Hottest New Club"

Jet is another club that has some platforms overlooking the dance floor that offers a great opportunity to put women on display. I like the fact that they are the only major dance club open on Monday nights. Jet is hands down the hottest new club.

The only negative is that if you arrive early the club isn't too happening and the security can be a bit pushy. The music can be bland. However, later (after 12:30) it will be off the hook. Fantastic DJs for every room and genre, attentive and friendly bar staff, and a friendly, beautiful crowd that dressed for the scene and really generated energy for the party. Fantastic sound and light system in the main room, and good sound in the side rooms as well.

"Rain" 10/07/06 Attitude - 2 Eye Candy - 3 Price - 3

"Not as hot as it used to be"

The club has a VIP stage behind the DJ both that offers the best opportunity in Vegas to dance above the crowd. There is a skinny kid named Dave behind the bar that is by far the best bartender in Vegas. Unfortunately, the crowd at Rain is starting to thin out as it falls prey to all the new competition.

"Dan Marino's Fine Food & Spirits (Hooters)" 08/15/06 Attitude - 3 Eye Candy - 2 Price - 2

"A different style of fine dining experience"

We went on a Saturday night with original reservations for 9:30, however, we needed to push the reservation time back to 10 pm. This was done with no problems. When we arrived at the restaurant we understood why there was no problem, there were only 3 other tables with diners. Maybe they get an early crowd at Marinos.

The restaurant is very pleasing to the eye with a great mural of Dan Marino as soon as you walk in. An aspect that I liked is that it has both tables and booths. The wine list was fairly extensive with the bottles being relatively inexpensive compared to other hotel's high-end restaurants. I have to let you know the list included (as a joke) a bottle of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill. Most everyone's cherry popper into wine. Of course we had to have a bottle after dinner for old times sake. It came with 4 Dixie cups!

The menu sported a decently wide selection of options although I believe that it's the first time I've been in a fine dining restaurant which listed buffalo wings as an appetizer. However, since it is a Hooters legacy we understood. We opted not for the wings but did have the four cheese dip which was quite tasty. Everyone (four of us total) ordered a different entree and were all very pleased.

Overall it was a different experience but a enjoyable one as the food was delicious and the servers were very friendly and even played along with our rowdy group.

"8 1/2 Ultra Lounge" 05/22/06 Attitude - 3 Eye Candy - 3 Price - 2

"8 1/2....close to a 10!"

I usually don't care too much for ultra lounges since I usually need to get my groove on, however, 8 1/2 is an exception. With a chic decor, good music (mainly hip hop but with some old school thrown in), couches placed throughout as well as VIP booths, and a small dance floor this lounge provides just about everything. The hot bartenders also add a nice touch

"Grape Street Cafe" 03/07/06 Attitude - 4 Eye Candy - 3 Price - 2

"A Hidden Treasure"

Grape Street is one of my favorite restaurants in a town full of places to dine. The atmosphere is perfect for either a business luncheon, casual lunch with friends, Happy Hour after work, or my favorite first stop on a Friday or Saturday night for a light meal before heading out to a club. The menu is varied and delicious and the restaurant is always filled with great eye candy. If you're adventurous, then go late where you can get rowdy and sit at the back counter. This enables you to see the interactions of the waitstaff and the cooks. Or if you prefer a nice, quiet and dark table for a romantic mood go to Grape Street it's a great way to start the evening.
