"Unfortunately, it's in the Palms!"

One of our favorite lounges simply because it has a great view and is usually not overly crowded. The door staff is not as friendly as some other clubs but about average for this type of place. Entrance fee was $25.00/person last weekend. Drinks are average priced - for Vegas.

Once inside, it's a little difficult to get a drink as the night gets later and the club fills up. I really think they need more bartenders. It seems most of them are busy making drinks for the VIP tables - or they are just slow. They have a couple small bars outside with limited alcohol choices but the bartenders are usually more friendly.

They usually attracts a good looking crowd; and most people are friendly (or seem friendly anyway). The furniture is retro and the neon lights really set the mood. The view from the outside deck is awsome; just don't go out there on a cold, windy night!

The only downfall to the Ghostbar is limited seating and their extremely small restrooms. It's not uncommon to wait in line for a while after the club fills up. If you go there, just remember to bring a big bladder!

"We couldn't even get in the front door!"

We would like to write a review about this club, however, in order to get in, you have to fight your way through a swarm of people and beg the staff to let you in. They had no established lines to enter the club - just a crowd of people all standing there like idiots! After standing around for 30 min and sizing up the crowd, we decided it wasn't worth it!

"Not our kind of place"

I need to start out by saying that the staff at the door were complete jerks. They were rude and acted as if we should be thankful for being let in. They apparently forgot that we were the customer.

We went inside anyway - just to check it out. The bar service was slow and there was a lot of standing around waiting for drinks. The atmosphere was pretty good and there were some attractive people there. You could get a great view of the pirate battle by standing on patio and fighting 500 other people who want the same view!

Overall, we would never go back mainly because of the staff. There are a lot better places in Vegas that actually treat people with a little respect and dignity.

"And there wasn't even a buffet!"

We spent a Friday and Saturday evening at Polly Esthers in order to give them a balanced review.

First of all, the door staff was very friendly and professional. Probably the nicest staff that we have seen anywhere in Vegas. We only waited in line for a very short time, then , for some reason, were directed to the VIP entrance for free admission. Once inside, the bar and wait staff were very attractive. Again, some of the best looking and friendliest bar staff of any other club in vegas. There were at least 8 different bars so getting a drink was no problem. All night long, the bartenders would give free shots while dancing on the bars. The bouncers also walked around and made sure people were having a good time. We really can't say enough good things about the staff.

The atmosphere was different - but good. The acoustics were a little off because of the high ceilings. It was nice to be able to walk into different rooms and experience all together different music - even if we didn't recognize some of the songs as ever being hits in those decades! We were impressed with the layout, simply because it was so different from everything else in Vegas. The restrooms were huge and very clean - again, one of the best in Vegas.

Drink prices went down from Friday to Saturday night and the drinks got larger! Friday they started at $9.00 a mixed drink, then Saturday they grew by 30% in size and went down to $8.00.

Now for the crowd; I guess there is only one word to describe the women - obese! I don't know why but 80 percent of the women there were at least 250lbs and bitter. There was probably a 2-1 guy/girl ratio and the guys we talked to were disappointed to find all the unattractive women. Other than the bar staff, we only saw one attractive girl there in two nights

All in all, we still had a fun time and would go back, except, next time we might bring a ham shank to wave around and toss out the door in hopes that the bitter behemoths will follow!
