"Aria - A work in Progress"
Stayed here last month to get a feel for the resort. It has a cool modern vibe, but the service is still a bit weak. The first room I checked into was not clean...empty water bottles, someone's old hair gel on the counter? I requested another room by phone and was reassured that this room would be ready, just go to the new room. Despite their assurances, I went back down to the front desk knowing that there was no way my existing room key would work in the new room.
The people who work the front desk are pretty lost...first woman I had could not enunciate, I had to lean over the counter and stick my ear in front of her mouth to hear what she was saying, second visit to the front desk to get my new room cards, the woman clearly could not use the key card machine correctly as I saw the light on the machine turn red a few times before she gave up and gave me a key that I knew was not going to work.
I am not very picky about most things but incompetence is not acceptable at a so called 4-5 star resort...
Ok, the pros, room has very nice integrated electronics, lighting, curtains, tv controls were easy to use...Bedding was very nice and comfortable...the spa facilities are great, loved the heated granite beds...
Overall, I will probably give Aria another chance, but some front desk training and improved housekeeping needs to be addressed ASAP.
