"Bali Hai Golf Club" 03/02/08 Attitude - 4 Eye Candy - 3 Price - 4

"Worth the price"

I only played this track once but it was worth the green fee. Bali Hai along with the course at the Wynn are the only courses on the strip. By the way, if you think the cost of playing Bali Hai is steep, try the $500 a round green fee at the Wynn, plus you have to be staying at the property to play at Wynn. (I have played there and had a terrible experience but this review is about Bali Hai and I save the Wynn Course review for another time.)

Bali Hai sits behind Mandalay Bay and the Four Seasons. Planes from the airport do fly overhead at times but that didn't take away from the experience. Fore Caddies are available and worth their weight in Pro V 1's if your playing the course for the first time.

Bali's staff is ready to meet your every need. The course is well manicured. The desert flowers' and shrubs' colors add to the plush green fairways and white sand bunkers. Play from the correct tees for your handicap and you'll have a great game.

"Bring your "A" game"

I have played this course 3 times. Target golf at its finest. If you hit them straight and the correct distance you'll score low. If you have difficulty with accuracy or judging the distance you'll hit a club, find another course to play. Bring plenty of balls (golf balls that is). Snakes (real ones, not the one-eyed kind) hang out in the desert during the summer. Take a club in the desert with you if you are going to look for your ball. Otherwise take a drop and get on with your game.

The staff is friendly. The course well maintained. Eye candy is limited due to the fact that I haven't seen many ladies playing this course. That's the reason for the "1" in the rating. It wasn't based on the looks of any women on the course. If you don't have your "A" game with you, you might be wise to spend your money on a different course.
