"Afternoon delight"
This place was awesome. They told us upon entering that you could spend hours there and not be able to see everything and they weren't lying. It was spacious and diverse. There were a lot of very cool exhibits that covered a wide range of interests. There were quite a few things that I had never seen before which gave me a chance to expand my knowledge as well as the buldge in my pants. I would like to see a little more gay/bi/tg stuff there, but there was some and perhaps more in the future because apparently they change the exhibits up every few months.
The price was right too. Not only do locals get a discount, but American Lowlife has a two for one coupon that you can take in (we had also seen one in a Las Vegas Weekly not too long ago). This gave us some extra money to purchase something in the store and help support the museum. They are a non-profit organization so not only can you help support a good cause, but you can get something awesome to take home with you as well (not to mention claim the entrance fee and half of your souvenir purchase price on your taxes, if you wish).
Upstairs I finally got to see part of 'Behind The Green Door' for the fist time. I didn't get to try out the glory hole though. It was being used by a couple of horny mannequins.
We mostly had the place to ourselves almost the entire 2 hours that we were there. I really hope that they get enough business to stay open, so go see the place if you haven't yet. They also have a calendar of events, some of which we hope to attend.
Thanks for reading.

Maybe it was our stop in at the Artisan for a quick cocktail that made us feel warm & fuzzy, but we liked this place and had a great time.
Admission was very reasonable & all staff was very locals friendly. Don't expect it be a 'club' atmosphere, it's not. It truly is laid out like a gallery/museum, but not too high brow like some. We recently went to Symbolic on Industrial and found that to be a GREAT pop art gallery focused on 60s Rock culture & art. This has a similar feel in terms of fun subject matter - hello, 'Erotic' is in the title...but this museum is much larger and there is more to read.
We went late afternoon on a Saturday. A couple other folks mingling around, but we were the only ones in the museum when we left - tempting for a Low life, but this is a museum. Plenty of places to sit and take in some of the more interesting exhibits. Great little areas that look like a mix of someone's den or a hip TV coffee house with a twist. Casual, friendly, environment.
Be willing to read some, and be pleasantly surprised. Some displays Low Life’s have seen, some you haven't. Some you will giggle over, some you will say, 'I did not know that'....Influential people in erotica/pornographic history, the small actual movie theater upstairs, 'Are you normal' test, vintage peep show booths, flicks, modern famous porn star biographies, etc, etc. Don't want to give too much away, but we loved the Chandelier!
As an added bonus, the Curator is a Hottie, and extremely knowledgeable.
Get on the mailing list if you go, the opening promises to be fun with Sexologist, People in the know, a scattering of nerds and some horny people milling around erotica.
