Inside Caesars Palace

The legendary Italian NYC restaurant where it's impossible to get a reservation now has a Las Vegas version inside Caesars Palace.

Rao's has attempeted to recreate the cozy dining dining experience of the NYC version with a couple of clones of the original dining room.

From "Know it A.L.L." news 8/21:
"In NYC it's damn near inpossible to get a reservation at Rao's, the legendary Italian restaurant. In Las Vegas, it appears to be a different story. While the Caesars Palace eatery started out being a tough ticket, things have calmed down and now signs placed around the restaurant say “No reservations. We promise.” That, combined with the fact that the restaurant recently terminated its daily lunch offerings, indicate a decline in demand."

"Is Rao's Worth the Wait?"

From the Las Vegas Review-Journal's food critic Heidi Knapp Rinella:

"The original Rao's in New York's East Harlem, which has been in the same family for more than 100 years, is a notoriously tough reservation. It seats about 50, and since many longtime regulars have standing reservations, even the high and mighty, the rich and powerful, the famous who are famous only for being famous, find it as difficult to get a table as you and I would, bucky.
And then a second, 250-seat Rao's opened last winter at Caesars Palace. Finally, it'll be easy to get in, right?
No, we learned when we were able to get a reservation two weeks out; the place is just busy. As we waited to be seated, we watched as party after party without reservations were turned away because they didn't want to eat in the bar.
So, the question arises: Is it worth it?"
