Moon is the exclusive penthouse nightclub located with high-end finishes, VIP accommodations and a view not only of the Las Vegas Strip, but also of the stars above. Moon occupies the very top floor of the Palms' new Fantasy Tower.
The floor is covered with shimmering glass tiles of various shapes and sizes, which change color via a computerized lighting system as guests move about them, while a curtain of glass beads, upon which videos are projected, hang over the majestic floor-to-ceiling windows.
The club's main room boasts what is arguably the most spectacular architectural feature in Las Vegas-a massive retractable roof that opens up to provide a mind blowing view of the stars. When closed, the ceiling serves as a large video screen, exhibiting giant images of the action on the dance floor or anywhere else in the club from a series of moveable cameras and projectors. When the roof retracts-accompanied by theatrical music and a spectacular laser and fog show, the scene becomes even more incredible.

"With laser light beams knifing through the air, an illuminated dance floor and servers in shiny silver get-ups, Moon looks kind of like a lost set from "2001: A Space Odyssey." "Feeling Mooned"
We went to Moon on a Sunday night so our assessment may be foggy. The place was semi-packed and up until the guest DJ started people were dancing. So we meandered down to the Playboy club where the DJ was spinning much better and hung out. Moon is probably better on the weekend but for the most part we thought it was heavy on the sausage. We absolutely deplore clubs that crowd the dance floor with VIP seating much like LAX at Luxor. We will give Moon another chance maybe on the weekend next time. Here is a tip if you are staying at the Palms you can show your room key and gain access of course after you pay the $20 cover (each). Oh the view from Moon's balcony was very nice and it also gives you a break from the fog machine on the inside while still enjoying the tunes.

"Great Atmosphere."
Friday night Great Crowd. More in the 20 to 30 range. So much eye candy. Great inhouse dancers. Dance floor was packed. Drinks were great and delivered fast.. We felt very much at ease and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. No one was pushy, and the atmosphere was relaxed but had great music and people.
