Dirty, smokey interior, low ceilings, bikers, cold beer and sizzling blues.

It's been around for years, closed down for a few months and has been reopened for quite awhile. Our favorite place to see the blues in town.

They even have a website now! Woo hoo!

"Down and Dirty"

Probably the only place in town that has live blues every night of the week and certainly the only place that feels like the blues. This place is all about blues, bikers and beer. It isn't for the squeamish but if you really like the blues then you probably aren't anyway. It's got a dance floor that gets hopping during most every song so leave your attitude back at the hotel room and let da blues take over your soul!

Edit: It closed and has reopened and it isn't nearly as vibrant as before. Sort of like a guy who has had open heart surgery isn't quite the same as before the operation. We'll see how this plays out.

Update: This place is back to it's old self and usually has good bands and a mostly-packed house. It's still a dump but that's part of the charm--who wants a sanitized place to listen to kick-ass blues?

"A Fun Dump"

We actually went to this place because we found it listed on this site and we have to say, it is indeed a dump (as the symbol indicates) but it doesn't deserve the tombstone it was given because it wasn't dead at all.

The Saturday night we went it was pretty packed and everyone seemed to be having a rollicking good time. The band got women to flash their breasts for drinks, people were dancing to the blues and between sets you could smoke a doob with the band. Where else in town can we find that? (If you know, please tell us!)

Granted the crowd was a bit on the "rode hard" side but they were friendly and we had a blast.
