"Red Rock's serene surroundings, distinctive decor, and impeccable standard of service ensure that your visit is flawless and fabulous. Whether relaxing in our expansive pool back yard, playing your hand at Poker or savoring a first-class meal, our resort has a flavor for all vacation tastes and desires."

For a local's hotel/casino, this is one of the nicer ones. The lounge plays hip hop (live band) and even has VIP booths and bottle service. Cherry, their swanky night club is one of THE hot places to go right now.

"Voted Best Locals Hotel"

Voted "Best Locals Hotel" in Las Vegas Review-Journal's "Best of Las Vegas" Readers AND Staff Poll '07

"An instant hit with everyone save maybe a few disgruntled nature lovers, Station Casinos' new crown jewel is off to a strong start with R-J readers. The perimeter walk makes it easy to take in the whole resort before deciding where to spend your time. We won't argue the likability of the classy retro-Vegas design and cool pool area. And Red Rock's successful play for the upscale market came without sacrificing the buffet, movie theaters, coffee shop specials and other favorites that make Station Casinos what they are today."

"It's Cool"

So, we liked Red Rock overall. We liked the clubs, the rooms, the pool, the people. But a couple of things we thought were pretty damn cool:.
1) The tequila bar at Cabo restaurant. Supposedly has about 90 types of tequila. We saw one of our faves (Gran Centenario Anejo) and had a couple of shots. $9 each for very tall shots (nearly double shots). We were groovin' on that.

2) In the rooms, where they have the cookies and cashews and other stuff you can buy they also had an "intimacy kit" which included 3 condoms, a vibrating condom ring and some "booty parlor" lube, all in a very classy box. The lube said "Use with a toy. Use with a boy. Use with your favorite boytoy." For some reason, that clinched the deal--Red Rock is cool!

"red rock"

Nice rooms. hotel was short staffed in most areas, especially restaurants. Wind under room door howelled all night. Had to put towels under door to quiet the noise. Pool surcharge of $21 per day should be in the rate, not an extra charge. Easy to drive too, nice pool, food ok, value good...

"Almost 5 Stars"

The new Red Rock Hotel & Casino is an extremely nice hotel, especially for a "locals" hotel. It's very classy inside with lots of attention to detail and Stations Casinos outdid themselves with this one!

Red Rock has entertainment hits on their hands with Cherry night club and Rock's Lounge (which rivals many other casino's main clubs), both of which generally have lengthly weekend lines.

Their central pool is quite large with lots and lots of bungalows to rent and their adult pool is very sexy and chic. There's an abundance of eye-candy at both. The standard rooms are better than the average hotel's standard rooms (although ask for one far away from the on-going construction) and, if you are into bathrooms, these are spacious and very modern.

This hotel ranks up there with Green Valley Ranch as THE top locals hotel/casino, given the class and the entertainment options.

Our only complaints, however minor, would be these:
--The staff, while friendly and generally attractive bunch, aren't quite grooved into their customer service roles and it seems the coordination is sometimes lacking, especially in the pool area. I have a feeling this will smooth out as they gain experience and a feel for their hotel.

--We've heard several complaints that the restaurants weren't quite on par with the rest of the hotel, with the reason being given that Red Rock owns their own restaurants rather than have some outside celebrity chef or well-known NYC/L.A./Miami eatery lease some of their space. We can't confirm this mostly because we can't really remember the food! We were with another party couple and had been in the party mode for several hours and we had a great (and probably loud and certainly flirtatious) time and we all seem to recall that we did, in fact, eat something and that it's possible the service might have been slow but we left T-bones Chophouse refueled and laughing like fools and ready for more partying so the place worked for us!
