"Kick Ass Knight"
We were wandering around the Mandalay the other Saturday night, drinking and carrying on, and decided to stop by the House of Blues to see what was going on. In the lounge/restaurant portion, they had cleared out all the tables and turned the floor into a giant dance floor and people were dancing like fools.
To what were they dancing to? To the Boogie Knights, a live band that does all sorts of hits from the disco era. The Boogie Knights are Vegas legends and have been around for several years. They play perfect renditions of many of the top hits from the 70's. They even play songs that most cover bands wouldn't attempt and pull it off flawlessly.
They had the place rockin' with their brand of irreverent entertainment and often evoked doubletakes form the crowd who were making sure Donna Summer, Ashford and Simpson or Blondie weren't actually on stage rather than the all-male, ultra disco-clad B.K.'s.
Yeah, it's not the coolest thing you can be doing in Vegas but it sure is one of the most fun! For a knight of mindless fun, catch the Boogie Nights one of these Saturday nights at the H.O.B. inside the Mandalay.
