on the Strip across from Caesars

An older Strip hotel with a rich history. Some good room deals can be had here and it's close to the more upscale hotels and clubs.

"The celebrated Flamingo has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they started rolling dice in 1946. The property features a 15-acre Caribbean-style water playground complete with a Wildlife Habitat featuring penguins, turtles, and of course flamingoes. Shows at the Flamingo include Funny Man George Wallace, the Second City Comedy Show, and Wayne Newton, when he's in town. Set on the famous intersection of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo Road, this hotel combines heart-pounding Las Vegas excitement with great amenities, all set right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip."

"Flamingo 06/09"

The Flamingo is a beautiful resort with a pretty awesome pool. Don't waste your money on the "GO Pool"...it's $10/male to get in...even if you're a couple...and the scenery was...well...just don't go ok?! We tipped the front desk lady $20 and she upgraded our room to an executive suite on the 27th floor overlooking the Bellagio fountains...which makes a nice backdrop for some good ole' amateur home videos! I'd stay there again...except if you want some sexy fun...venture out of the hotel to some more adult-themed attractions. Cheers, and good luck!!!

"Flamingo "

We spent 5 nights at the Flamingo. The GO room was very nice, clean, with a great view and offered at a great price. There were long lines for the buffet and even long lines for the coffee shop. Service in the coffe shop was s-l-o-w-. Buffet food was excellent. The 22nd floor corridor was left dirty for days on end. The GO pool is Euro; topless if you want. There were only one or two out of 100 women who were topless. Of course, the Flamingo can't help that. Friendly staff, hard working, but maybe they had laid-off a few too many folks. Over-all we do recommend the place over other similarly priced properties.
