Review

"Mamma Mia the smash hit musical based on the songs of Abba is now playing at the Mandalay Bay Theatre in Las Vegas. A mother, a daughter, three possible dads and a trip down the aisle you will never forget. This hilarious show has dazzled over ten million show goers around the world and is now one of the biggest hits on the strip. Abba songs include dancing queen, take a chance on me and many more. Mamma Mia tickets for the the musical are on sale now on this web site. Mamma Mia is a great show for the lovers of seventies music."

The most successful Broadway import in Vegas history is slated to depart in January 2009, so hurry over to see the tale of a daughter hoping to learn which of her mom's three ex-boyfriends is her dad. The story is really secondary to the ABBA music, so if you are an ABBA fan, don't leave when the show seems over--three hits that don't fit in the narrative get a rousing encore-style concert performance.

Price: Tickets start at $49.50

"ABBA is Fun"

An interesting working of ABBA songs into a musical. Some clever weavings of the lyrics into the script of the play. It actually works! It's definitely a happy happy, joy joy kind of thing but it's one of those kind of goofy things that become cool.

And it's amazing how many ABBA fans are out there, partly because ABBA was very hard to hide from and seemed to be everywhere for awhile 20 years ago.

Anyway, it's a fun and feel-good production and you'll probably enjoy it if you let yourself. Was told it's not as good as the London production but not too far off.
