Inside Barbary Coast

A fine dining, French restaurant that opens into Vegas' #1 afterhours club. Music is a mix of progressive house, electronica and trance. $20 Cover.

"Continually labeled as the hottest after hours spot in Las Vegas, Drais in the Barbary Coast provides a lush haven for anyone looking to party until dawn. Its unique basement location is draped in romantic and luxurious textures, racy artwork, and swanky furniture that make it feel more like a posh living room then a nightclub. In addition, Drais boasts some of the industry’s best DJ’s playing rhythmic and compelling house music that relentlessly drives the dance floor into a frenzy. With an extremely competitive clientele, it isn’t unusual to wait for hours to get into Drais, so don’t miss your chance to indulge in Vegas’ after hours nightlife and book your VIP passes online now."

"Voted "Best After-Hours Party""

Voted "Best After-hours Party" 2006 by CityLife Magazine

"We might as well not even ask readers to vote on this category next year. Despite increased competition in the blue-dawn hours party market from Empire Ballroom and Seamless, the basement club still holds a special place in the blackened hearts and addled minds of local late-nighters. Although Jesse Waits, the longtime face of Drai's, has been spending the bulk of his time at Tryst, the rowdy yet cozy joint keeps banging. Your eardrums. Your fists. Your synapses."

"The granddaddy of L.V.'s after-hours spots"

If you find yourself with an early-morning buzz and the club you are at is going downhill, you might venture over to Drai's to keep the buzz alive (or pump it back up!). My biggest complaint is getting to the club in the first place as you have to wind your way through a brightly lit, low-class casino (by Strip standards) to get there. The culture clash with you in your party clothes and your party frame-of-mind working your way past the corn-fed lookie-loos playing blackjack as you desperately try to get to the elevator that will take you to the sanctuary on the bottom floor. Suck it up, be strong and don't lose the mood because once you are there a sigh of relief and ultimately pleasure will overtake...

"A must do on our Vegas itinerary."

On our last trip to Vegas (Jan 2006) we hit Drai's after a long Wed night (about 3:30 or so) and it was dead. But we waited it out and it really got rockin about 5 or so. Drinks are a bit pricey (I cringe to spend $8 on a beer) but the atmosphere makes it worth it. So much fun!!

"It's Still Happening"

After all these years, Drai's is still a happening place. The music was full of energy and there's a very large dance floor, much larger than the old days. The place was full of hotties, most of which seemed to be buzzin' on something more than just life. And that was more than fine with us for it made for a sexy, sensual atmosphere.
Still hate going in and out of the Barbary Coast but Drai's is still worth it.

(It does seem to be a bit over-priced when ya pay $8 for a bottle of water, however.)
