The Strip and Tropicana
|
|
The largest resort in Las Vegas with perhaps the largest check-in lobby around! Many nice restaurants, lounges and clubs but put your walking shoes on as it can be a bit of a trip to get around.
An article on the MGM
"The City of Entertainment brings you the largest Hotel Casino in the world: the MGM Grand Las Vegas. This hotel is a manmade wonder, the sheer size of it will awe you. The MGM Grand is located at the infamous intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Tropicana, within walking distance of several favorite major properties...but you won't need to leave your hotel if you don't want to. From it's 5000 plus guest rooms and suites to it's enormous casino with multiple showrooms, restaurants, and shops you will never run out of things to do at the MGM Grand."
Regarding the Lion Habitat:
The MGM Grand's lion habitat provides visitors not only with a learning opportunity but a chance to see descendants of the original MGM lion, Leo.
The multilevel habitat is in the middle of the resort at 3799 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Visitors can watch the lions lounge around, play and eat daily, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Placards positioned around the habitat provide educational tidbits about the lions, such as their sleeping habits, weight and diet.

"MGM: where size does matter"
Bigger, better, and my gosh are there tons of hot women here. I don't know how the price compares because we got a sweet packaged deal with flight + hotel stay bundled together. I'm sure this place is more steep, and the eats are kind of expensive there, but gambling is great, nightclubs are awesome, pools are amazing, and there are cheaper alternatives to eat at in the food court. Pretty good location, unless you know you'll be crossing down to the other end of the strip (like to Treasure Island, the Wynn, or Ceasar's), 'cause then the walk in the desert heat is a bit of a biotch. Room service was friendly and check-in/check-out was pretty painless, they think of almost everything to make your stay pretty comfy.
