While Las Vegas is full of perverts of all kinds, we really aren't all that kinky (you know, refined and somewhat cultured perversion) and we certainly don't have much of a kinky culture to speak of. The Erotic Heritage Museum has been trying to change all that since they opened last year and the co-sponsoring of a kinky film festival--CineKink--might just help.
CineKink features a wide variety of movies, documentaries and movie shorts spotlighting such subject matter as BDSM, sex toys, rough sex and swinging (yes, swinging--see notes on this movie below).
The films are showing at the very cool alternative film & live venue Onyx Theatre in Commercial Center, near the Green Door in the back of the BDSM supply store called The Rack.
(Note: don't let the fact that Onyx is in Commercial Center daunt you--it is a 1st class venue and you'll be glad you braved Commercial Center's randy reputation).
Here's the LowLife listing for the CineKink film festival complete with movie descriptions, times, etc. Now get your kinky self over there and check it out!
A Look at the Movie "Swingers"
(no, not that "Swingers"--we do not see Vince Vaughn naked or anything like that. We get to look at two attractive Dutch couples, instead)
Synoposis
"New to swinging, Diana and Julian invite an attractive couple they've met online to visit them for the weekend, and join them in their first experiment with the lifestyle.
Their guests, Alex and Timo are confident swingers, especially gorgeous Alex, whose ravishing sexiness intimidates quiet Diana. Timo, meanwhile, seems strangely disinterested, a sharp contrast to the boyish excitement of Julian.
But once night falls and their sexual exploration begins, we discover that all is not as it seems. We notice Timo may not be as casual as he initially seemed--and Diana may have more quiet strength in her than she knows."
The trailers look interesting and reflect some of the swing situations we've witnessed. Diana--the female newbie--goes through a lot of emotional issues but appears to come out a swinger at the end and Alex--the female swinger--goes through a period of frustration with the swinging "beginners". Sounds realistic. Hopefully the movie will be available on Netflix one of these days...
